Awarded annually, when merited, by the Vice-Provost, Graduate Studies to the student with the highest academic standing on admission to the Master’s degree in the Department of English Language and Literature. Eligible students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Endowed in 1992 by the department, family and friends, to commemorate the life of Vic Mallet, an outstanding student of the Department of English, who died tragically in a car accident.
