Awarded annually by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs to graduate students in demonstrated financial need who are continuing in a graduate program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Preference will be given to students in the humanities. Eligible recipients must be Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada, and must meet OSAP’s Ontario Residency requirements. The intent of this award is to provide financial assistance to students for the completion of their research when no other source of assistance is available. Recipients will be chosen by the awards committee of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs from a list of candidates recommended by each department within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.Endowed in 1997 by Dr. Margaret Wade Labarge, C.M.
