After a very Giving Tuesday, comes a Thankful Thursday.

Some days, you’ll agree, are better than others. We can confidently say that Tuesday, December 2, 2014 – Giving Tuesday – will be remembered as one of the best days in Carleton University’s history.

We had an ambitious goal to raise $40,000 in 24 hours. We met that goal before noon. By the end of the day, you and your fellow supporters gave more than $76,000 for important student projects and research initiatives – almost doubling our original goal. You fully funded six projects on the FutureFunder, and with your help many others made great strides towards their goals.

It may take some time for us on campus to understand and truly appreciate such an outpouring of generosity. So today, on Carleton’s very first “Thankful Thursday,” we simply pause to reflect and say thank you. From all of us.
